Then, when spoken language was discovered, they then used 'mime' as a form of entertainment. the ancient greeks and romans used to perform to audiences over 10,000 in festivals. there is a certain form of mime called 'hypothesis' and this would usually be done by a group or a company of actors and often ine actor would play the scenes of several characters.

is a form of theatre that began in Italy in the mid-16th century, Commedia dell'arte was performed outdoors in temporary venues by professional actors who were costumed and masked, they would mime in the street with over exagerated faces to get attention from the audience that walk past, some people from the street may pay them as it is entertaining.
