3.1 How Artefact Made

How Artefact’s are made

A Costume designer creates the look of each character by designing clothes and accessories that the actors will wear in performance. Depending on their style, costumes may be hand made, bought, made again out of old clothes or rented. Their designs need to match the personalities of the characters in the script.

Costumes can be made in all different shapes, sizes, colours and texture. Costume designers try and make costumes like this so they stand out to the audience.

In the past, pot makers have had to dig their clay from local places because there were no other options. Some pot makers still dig to find their clay.

Wedging

Wedging is mixing the clay by hand and then pressing down on a clay ball onto a table. This is so all the air bubbles get removed. This is very important to get the air bubbles removed so that when it goes in the kiln it will not cause an explosion.
